At BrightStart Phonics Tutoring, I believe every child deserves to feel confident, capable, and excited about learning to read and write. I help children build strong literacy foundations through engaging, phonics-based lessons tailored to their stage of learning.
Whether your child is a pre-schooler just starting phonics, preparing for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, or needs extra confidence with spelling and reading, I provide patient, targeted support from a trusted professional.
To make quality learning accessible for every family, I offer online tutoring sessions in phonics, reading, and writing, bringing interactive, flexible, and engaging literacy support straight to your home. It is appropriate for all children, including those with literacy difficulties and those on the dyslexia spectrum

Phonics Foundations
An introduction to phonics for pre-schoolers, including finger gym activities to strengthen fine motor skills and prepare little learners for writing.Phonics KickStart
For Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, including support for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Lessons are designed to build reading fluency and writing confidence.Phonics Power-Up
For Year 2 and beyond, helping children consolidate skills, boost confidence with spelling and reading, and develop a strong foundation for future success.
Holiday Dates 2025/2026
Please note that there may be some adjustments to the timetable during the school holidays, but this will be communicated with you in advance to ensure a suitable time and date can be arranged.
Some in-person sessions may take place online during the school holidays.
We remain open during public holidays, unless we inform you otherwise.
Holiday Schedule:
CLOSED: Wednesday 24th – Friday 26th December 2025
OPEN: Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th December 2025 (some lesson time adjustments)
OPEN: As normal from Monday 5th January 2026 onwards
