Phonics Foundations
An introduction to phonics for preschoolers. Sessions include finger gym activities to develop fine motor skills ready for writing. Learning is gently aligned with Early Years expectations to support a smooth transition into school.
Phonics KickStart
Designed for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, including preparation for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Lessons develop reading fluency and writing confidence, carefully matched to your child’s school phonics programme to reinforce and accelerate progress.
Phonics Power-Up
For Year 2 and beyond, supporting children to consolidate phonics knowledge, strengthen spelling and reading skills. Sessions are tailored to complement school learning, building confidence and creating strong foundations for continued success.
I use Jigsaw Phonics, a structured and comprehensive programme that supports children in learning letters and sounds while developing strong reading and spelling skills. It is suitable for all learners, including those with literacy difficulties and children on the dyslexia spectrum.
My teaching builds on this foundation through personalised, child-centred sessions, delivered in small groups or one-to-one. I carefully align each session with your child’s school phonics programme, ensuring consistency between home and classroom learning. This joined-up approach helps reinforce progress, close gaps and build confidence more effectively.
Whether your child needs support with phonics, faces literacy challenges, or is developing skills alongside dyslexia, my structured approach is designed to nurture confidence, fluency and steady progress.
For children learning English as an additional language, phonics provides the essential foundation for becoming confident speakers, readers and writers.
